Meredith W. Buckley is an associate attorney with the law firm of Malkinson & Halpern, P.C., in Chicago, Illinois. Meredith was admitted to practice law in the State of Illinois in 2009 and is a graduate of the DePaul University College of Law. Ms. Buckley completed her undergraduate education at McGill University in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.

Ms. Buckley’s entire career has been centered on litigation with a specific concentration in the area of employment, including sexual harassment; race, gender and sexual orientation discrimination; whistleblower actions; retaliatory discharge and wage and hour claims. Ms. Buckley also has experience handling complex medical malpractice and personal injury claims.

Ms. Buckley is admitted to, and routinely appears in, Illinois state courts and the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. Additionally, Ms. Buckley has successfully litigated matters before the United States Equal Employment Commission (“EEOC”), Illinois Department of Human Rights and the U.S. and Illinois Departments of Labor. Ms. Buckley has been selected by Illinois “Super Lawyers” Rising Stars since 2016. This is a peer-based award given to accomplished young lawyers across the country.

While Ms. Buckley primarily represents employees in litigation matter, she also represents and advises employers on a variety of legal issues, including commercial matters, which gives her a well-rounded approach to the variety of legal disputes that may arise in the area of employment.
